Vibin‘, formally CJ’s House of Soul, was set-up in 1998 to promote upfront R&B music to an eager Internet generation. Since its initial launch Vibin’ has gone from strength to strength, this year is proving to be a testament to its meteoric rise as we constantly receive over 100,000 access a week . We are now regarded as one of the UK’s premier Internet urban music websites.
Believe it or not I make NO money from the site, you may find this hard to believe but I maintain this site because I am passionate about music, especially R&B. I work full time in the day and I work on the Vibin’ update in the evenings, that’s why the site is only updated once a month. The site has no sponsors and receives no advertising payment, I pay for the web hosting out of my own pocket.
One of the best parts of Vibin’ is the music, and the website gives visitors the unique experience of being able to listen to the latest R&B tracks from the UK and USA in their entirety via Real Audio, up to 3 months before their initial release!
Within the last year Vibin’ have been working closely with various record companies and promotions companies such as BMG, EMI, Cornerstone Digital (NYC, USA), Street Heat Urban Marketing and Promotions (London) and Vital Web Marketing (London). We have exclusively featured/interviewed: Alicia Keys, Sisqo, Jamiroquai, Usher, Samantha Mumba, Omar, Isley Brothers, Prince, Natalie Williams, Tyrese, Koffee Brown, Gabrielle, Teish O’Day, D’Angelo & Maxwell, & Mis-Teeq & Damage to name just name just a few. Features in the pipeline are extending to more recognise and successful artists daily, but we continue to keep a firm ear to the underground, striving to promote tomorrow’s talent.
Late last year I Andy Mc & I took Vibin to the next level by introducing VIBIN/THE NIGHT, a club night dedicated in promoting contemporary R&B & the Vibin’ product. Our target audience is aimed towards the 25-35 year old fashion conscious urban music buyer.
